From Nara to the Studio
Our journey began in Nara, Japan—a region renowned for its centuries-old sock manufacturing heritage. We partnered with a small, family-run factory that still operates vintage knitting machines.
Unlike modern high-speed production, these machines work slowly, treating the yarn with a gentleness that results in a fabric that is incredibly soft yet remarkably durable.
We realized that the precision required for traditional Japanese tabi socks was perfectly suited for the demands of Pilates. The split-toe design isn't just a style choice; it's a functional necessity for balance and grounding.
Mindful Production
We produce in small batches to minimize waste and ensure quality. Every pair is hand-inspected before leaving the factory floor.
Material Integrity
We use organic cotton blends and eco-friendly dyes. Our silicone grip is non-toxic and designed to last through hundreds of washes.
